So, even though I have finished that tale of domestic lesbian rug love, the story is still kicking around like a dead fox stuck to a front tyre.

I had a brief perusal of the telephone book for the name Gooselane. Only one entry was to be found:

Constance A Gooselane, 77 Myrtle Drive, Rymington, Glasgow.

I am trying to decide whether or not to call up and ask if she knows of her (in)famous relative. But perhaps she would want to cast it from her mind, when you think of some of the passages contained in the memoirs:

"...the Duchess, despite a heaven of protestation on my part slipped her hand into my petti-coat and massaged my fun cup. Not a word was spoken between, and I continued preparing the table for dinner..."

Perhaps I will call her. Wish me luck.
